History

The HRD Network was founded in 1986 in grass-roots fashion by a small number of credit union professionals who wished to realize the benefits of sharing, networking, education, and support. Among our charter members in the mid-1980's were Calleen Davenport Kohns, Patti Reed, Carolyn Wilbur, Kathy Nixon, Rae Murbach, Marsha Maloy, Susan Mitchell and Ginny Baldauf.

At an early "Brownbag" gathering in 1986 at American Baptist Credit Union (now Christian Community Credit Union), the HRD Network name was selected and the organizational foundation was established.

Since that time, the HRD Network has continued to carry on the tradition instilled by the founders by holding HR Power Hour and Training Power Hour sessions, annual conferences, and networking and collaboration opportunities.  We strive to provide resources to help make you and your Credit Union successful.
